Glorious Gardens of Argyll & Bute

Achamore Gardens

The community owned Island of Gigha is home to the world famous Achamore Gardens. The garden extends to approximately 50 acres of natural woodlands and contains a large walled garden, pond area and many rare and interesting plants and trees growing in our frost-free climate, as well as rhododendrons, azaleas and camellias.

Gigha is a friendly island and you can explore the beautiful sandy bays and see the pleasures of the wild flowers and birds.

Plant sales. Refreshments available in season in the garden and available year-round in our hotel. Tours by request. Entrance payable in honesty box.

“Achamore Gardens the home of the Horlick collection of rhododendrons.”
